To My Younger Self
For Magen David Yeshiva's annual Passover fundraiser, we wanted to send a message to past generations of MDY alumni about the future of MDY. In order to recruit a new generation of donors, we wanted to find a storytelling mechanism that would convey, "Look, your parents and grandparents planted for you. Now it's your time to plant for your children and grandchildren."
We landed on the mechanism of the "letter to my younger self." Through this, board members are speaking to their future younger selves; aka their offspring for generations to come.
In order to get a donor to open up his or her wallet, a film needs to get them to open up their hearts first, in a personal way.
This is what we continually strive to offer our clients: a personalized reflection of their institution and the very real and impactful work they are doing in this world. A boutique, customized film. We seek to reinvent and offer something original in every film, something that speaks to a client's unique audience, showing their distinctive vision.
This campaign exceeded fundraising expectations, and we are happy to report it was a big success.
