Let’s be real: no gala, campaign, or donor pitch will ever match the raw emotional power of a well-made fundraising film.
Fundraising events are your school's moment in the spotlight—the time to rally your community, reinforce your mission, and inspire meaningful giving. But words alone won’t cut it. You need to move hearts.
That’s where fundraising films come in. You have a captive audience - do not waste this opportunity! (We will cover online fundraising films in our next post.)
Our Fundraising Films
1. Yeshiva Sha'arei Zion – “Through the Eyes of Our Children”
In this narrative-driven film, we follow the journey of two students, capturing their challenges and triumphs from kindergarten through high school. There are three schools in the YSZ family, and this film encompasses them all.
2. Magen David Yeshivah – “Passover Fundraiser 2025”
Utilizing the concept of a "letter to my younger self," in this film, we wanted to feature board members reflecting on their experiences and aspirations for future generations. It connects past, present, and future, highlighting the legacy of Magen David Yeshivah, and of donors themselves.
3. Beth Gavriel Bukharian Jewish Center – “Building for the Future”
This film chronicles the journey of the Queens Bukharian community toward constructing a new synagogue, emphasizing unity, tradition, and forward-thinking. It portrays the collective effort to create a lasting spiritual home.
4. SAR High School – “Letters”
This film presents a heartfelt collection of letters from students, parents, and alumni, expressing gratitude and sharing personal stories of growth and transformation at SAR High School. The narrative underscores the school's profound influence on its community.
These are not thank-you reels or honoree videos. They’re cinematic, strategic stories that build a case for support—not by listing needs, but by revealing purpose. They set the tone, evoke emotion, and motivate generosity—before a single speech is made.
The most effective fundraising films do four things:
Inspire Emotion: The best giving happens when people feel something. These films tap into legacy, impact, and shared values.
Tell a Human Story: You don’t raise money with stats. You raise it by showing lives changed—teachers, students, families.
Elevate the Institution: High production value signals professionalism, stability, and vision—what donors want to invest in.
Call to Action: Every frame builds to a moment: “Join us. Make this possible.”
Our goal with our fundraising films isn't to just impress. Our goal is to move the audience. And our films have helped schools raise millions because they do exactly that—they make people feel, believe, and give.
Fundraising films are your most powerful tool when the stakes are highest. They’re not just about what your school needs—they’re about what your school means. With authentic storytelling and cinematic craft, our films help institutions articulate not only what they do, but why it matters—and why supporters should invest in their future. And our films have a stellar track record to prove that.
